A Very Nice Dug Relic condition Federal soldier's brass knapsack J-Hook that was recovered from an 1863-1864 Spotsylvania County Battlefield, Either Chancellorsville, Wilderness, Salem Church, or U.S. Ford, according to the digger's original type-writer typed tag
A Nice
soldier's brass Knapsack J-Hook (a piece of hardware lost from a Soldier's knapsack).
This relic comes out of the collection of William Reger who lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania and relic hunted at a variety of sites from the late 1950s to the mid 1970s. Reger carefully identified his artifacts with typed labels. In this case, the tag is not included, as it was the only tag for the grouping, however, a copy of the tag, as well as a provenance letter, will be included.
